Launched by SMART India Foundation in collaboration with WASH Institute, JalaRaksha is designed to strengthen safe water behaviours and promote sustainable water stewardship across selected Gram Panchayats in Kerala. Water safety is not just about infrastructure—it is about informed choices, responsible practices, and collective action. Through the campaign theme “Know Your Water, Treat Your Water, Protect Your Water,” JalaRaksha aims to transform water safety from a message into a daily habit and a shared community responsibility. Over the next nine months, the campaign will engage households, community champions, local institutions, and Panchayats through: 💧 Water Passports for household water safety monitoring 💧 Citizen-led water quality testing and awareness activities 💧 Household coaching on safe water treatment and storage 💧 Water source mapping and protection initiatives 💧 Behaviour Change Communication (BCC) to promote lasting healthy practices JalaRaksha seeks to turn awareness into action, action into ownership, and ownership into sustainable change—ensuring that every family has the knowledge and confidence to safeguard its water. 📢 Follow our journey as we share stories, lessons, and impact from communities leading the way toward safer water and healthier futures.
